It was released on November 16, 2002 as the second single from the album. A pop ballad, 'Beautiful' was written and produced by Linda Perry. Lyrically, it discusses inner beauty, as well as self-esteem and insecurity issues. Aguilera commented that she put 'her heart and her soul' into the track, which she felt represented the theme of Stripped. The song was later re-recorded in an electronic style for her first greatest hits album Keeps Gettin' Better: A Decade of Hits (2008). Upon its release, ' Beautiful' received acclaim from music critics, who have ranked it among Aguilera's strongest material. It won a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and was also nominated for Song of the Year at the 2004 ceremony. 'Beautiful' was also a commercial success, topping the charts in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. The song peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, where it was certified gold for 500,000 units shipped. Beautiful has been widely embraced as an anthem by the LGBT community for its message of self-empowerment and inner beauty. An accompanying music video was directed by Jonas?kerlund, and earned Aguilera a GLAAD Media Award for its positive portrayal of gay and transgender people. In 2011, UK LGBT rights organization Stonewall named 'Beautiful' the most empowering song of the previous decade for gay, lesbian, and bisexual people. In 2009, Rolling Stone and VH1 listed it as one of the best songs of the 2000s. The song is widely recognized as one of Aguilera's signature songs and has been covered on numerous occasions and featured on several television shows. Rated 5 out of 5 by Markovich from Doctor Who: Remembrance Of The Daleks This is another exciting Dalek story starring Sylvester McCoy as the seventh Doctor and his faithful companion Ace. It is very enjoyable and entertaining to watch and combines science fiction with fantasy along with great colourful special effects. It is well worth watching particularly if you’re a fan of the Dr Who classic series and the evil Daleks who are determined to eliminate the Doctor for good but somehow they always seem to fail in the end. Produced as the kick-off to the 25th anniversary season, Sylvester McCoy's “Remembrance of the Daleks” was one of the first classic “Doctor Who” serials to hit DVD–and one of the most problematic. I see the import options for Gnuscash 2.4.10 list various Intuit formats, but not 'IIF'--which is what Quickbooks uses, apparently. How do I move quickbooks data to Gnucash? Gnucash does not support direct import of IIF. IIF is allegedly able to be opened with a spreadsheet program and saved to CSV or XLS. The CSV or XLS file can in turn be converted to QIF. Then again there is always the cold-turkey transition. You use the old system until the end of one year, and start with the new system at the start of the new year. Perhaps for a while you enter data in to both systems until you feel comfortable enough with the new one. Then you give up the old and only go back for historical data. > Thank You, > > David > Gillam Data Services, Inc. - Computer Training, Consulting, & Service >| www.davegillam.com| 214-543-2788 -derek > Please remember to CC this list on all your replies. > You can do this by using Reply-To-List or Reply-All. -- Derek Atkins, SB '93 MIT EE, SM '95 MIT Media Laboratory Member, MIT Student Information Processing Board (SIPB) URL: PP-ASEL-IA N1NWH PGP key available _______________________________________________ gnucash-user mailing list ----- Please remember to CC this list on all your replies. Without any import/export function, even from Quickbooks, transition can be done. It's easiest if the transition is started after year end closing (Peachtree) and starting GNUcash on January 1st. I'm keeping parallel books as a check (both Peachtree and GNUcash). Peachtree, as with Quickbooks, rely very heavily on their GUI input. I prefer GNUcash because of it's stronger direct gaap input. (I guess I'm more of an accounting geek). The real challenge is doing payroll. All the expense and liability accounts can be utilized in GNUcash. However, the actual payroll calculations have to be done in a spreadsheet (I use LibreOffice). Automation is constantly challenging. I would love to see how a cell content from a spreadsheet can automatically input into a debit, or credit into GNUcash. I kept books in both for the last three months of last year, just to make sure I had the functionality I needed in Gnucash. The worst part of the process for me was manually entering in the same accounts and account numbers for the accounts I use. After that it was just entering in beginning balances from the previous months bank statements. Being a church, we do 'fund based' accounting with one physical checking account, but in Gnucash many sub-accounts under the General Checking account. To me the changeover was relatively painless and data input is faster in Gnucash. I do have a question. Is there a way to make the fonts smaller in reports when they print? Even though I change them in preferences, the size they actually print does not change. This is true in Ubuntu and Windows Vista. Unfortunately this is highly unlikely to happen, because IIF (and QBW) formats are undocumented and proprietary. Someone would have to spend the time and effort to reverse engineer the file format. This whole QBW / IIF format thing is a red herring. IIF can be considered as CSV for all intensive purposes. Users could more easily move from Quickbooks to gnucash with: 1. Everything is fine up to that point (WinXP) but other than just open the document which is basically a text file the run command is not an option.
